Shabbat Club School Age Camp Program

Camp Details

Ages: Children age 5 - 8

Hours: Full day: 9 AM - 3 PM   |  Half day: 9 AM - 1 PM

Location: Our camp will operate outdoors on the sidewalk and parklet in front of Chabad of Cole Valley, 1300 Shrader Street. We also use the Grattan playground, tennis courts and soccer field on a daily basis. There will be occasional hikes to Tank Hill and Golden Gate Park as well.

Due to the new San Francisco health guidelines, parents can choose to send by week: 

Week 1: June 14 - June 18

Week 2: June 21 - June 25

Week 3: June 28 - July 2

Week 4: July 5 - July 9

Week 5: July 12 - July 16

Week 6: July 19 - July 23

Week 7: July 26 - July 30

Cost per week, half day: $261

Cost per week, full day: $390

First camper incentives and partial scholarship assistance is provided by Russian Speaking Jewish Community of SF & EZRA USA 



Food: Camp will provide nutritious snacks in the morning and afternoon. Families will send a (non meat) packaged lunch every day.

Staff: Camp is under the directorship of Morah Chaya, Director of Cole Valley Gan and the Shabbat Club Afterschool Program. Morah Devorie will be coming back again this year as lead teacher.

Sample Day


9:00 AM

Drop off and choose from an assortment of discovery activities.

9:45 AM

Choose your Morning Workshop! See below for a list of workshops

10:30 AM

  • Snack (fruit + protien) and Judiac Teaching

11:00 AM

  • Bathroom and head to Grattan for an hour of fun!

    • Mondays: GIANT bubbles and other wacky science experiments

    • Tuesday: Wheels day, bring your favorite bike/scooter and helmet

    • Wednesdays: Join a structured sports game (soccer/ tennis)

    • Thursdays: Wheels day, bring your favorite bike/scooter and helmet

    • Fridays: Learn some neat dance move with our guest dance instructor, Morah Ava

12:30 PM

  • Lunch (brought from home) followed by board games, stories and quiet activities


1:00 PM

  • Half Day Program Ends


1:30 PM

  • Activity with a focus on group cooperation and collaboration


2:00 PM

  • Choose an afternoon Workshop!


2:40 PM

  • Snack (vegetable + protein)


3:00 PM

  • Full Day Program Ends

Sample snacks:

Fruit: watermelon, apples, bananas, frozen berries

Vegetable: baby carrots, cucumbers, mini peppers, cherry tomatoes

Protein: peanut butter (if no allergies in camp), chumus, hard boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese
